We are immediately looking for a GUEST EXPERIENCES SUPERVISOR (GES) at Nextdoor Patan, located in Kupondole. We are a fun, creative workspace that demands attention to details and openness to people and cultures.

This position requires a young, dynamic individual who can take a lead in creating a casual, relaxed ambience for our guests at the hostel. GES core work is facilitating the guest journey – from inquiries to check-in to activities to follow up – and ensuring that we curate a truly memorable experience. 

We need a minimum commitment of 2 years. After the 3-month probation period, we will make performance evaluations towards a work contract. At the hostel nextdoor, we are rapidly creating incredible opportunities in Immersive Travel and Youth Tourism, and we can offer a long-term career track in Hospitality.

REMUNERATION:

  • At least 25,000 NPR per month; negotiable.
  • Communication and Meal stipend also provided. Accommodation can be offered if required.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Execute all Front Desk processes, checklists, and guest reservations
  • Coordinate guest receivables and maintain payment systems
  • Know your guest needs and understand their perspectives towards hostel services
  • Resolve all guest complaints and address their demands. 
  • Identify events/activities and coordinate logistics to create business opportunities
  • Review and update all web presence as well as oversee guest reviews on OTAs
  • Create social media updates and provide an online awareness of hostel experience
  • Ensure that our social spaces embody the brand values of hostel nextdoor
  • Coordinate with Guest Experiences Supervisor (GES) to maintain all services and amenities
  • Provide reports to GES and collaborate on strategies for better guest experience.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

  • Experience within the hospitality/service industry
  • A passion for your city and for independent travel
  • A genuine interest in meeting people and knowledge of the city; art, music, culture, etc
  • Knowledge of social media and user-generated reviews and its importance in marketing 
  • Ability to keep cool when pressure hits and enjoy working on a super fast pace
  • Organizational skills and project management ability
  • Courage to propose new ideas and humility in evaluating personal performance

HOW TO STAND OUT IN YOUR APPLICATION

  • Conversational fluency in a foreign language.
  • Commitment to Hospitality Industry. For BHM graduates, at least 2-year work experience required. Individuals without BHM degree need to show at least 4-year work experience.
